Iran: 5 drug smugglers executed
Five drug smugglers were executed in Iran. They were hanged in prison in the north eastern city of Mashhad.
The death penalty in Iran is given to those who are convicted of murder, rape, armed robbery and adultery. At least 35 people have been executed in the Muslim country since the beginning of the year. Last year, at least 270 people were executed. (Dudi Cohen)
