Pope dodges scandal, offers condolences to Poland

Pope Benedict XVI has offered condolences to Poland following a plane crash that killed the country's president and other officials but has again dodged any reference to the latest clerical abuse scandal.

Benedict also spoke of his plans to visit the Shroud of Turin next month during his noon blessing Sunday from the papal retreat in Castel Gandolfo. (AP)
