Afghanistan: Canadian soldier killed form roadside bomb
A Canadian soldier was killed after being hit by a roadside bomb near the Afghan city of Kandahar, according to a statement issued by the Canadian Minster of Defense Peter MacKay.
This incident raises the number of Canadian soldiers killed in the country to 142 since 2002. Last week MacKay announced 90 more soldiers will be deployed to Afghanistan in order to train the local forces. (AFP)
