Yishai explains his objection to writer's visit in Lebanon
Interior Minister Eli Yishai said Tuesday that he objected to the request of author Ala Hlehel to attend a literary festival in Lebanon based on a Shin Bet opinion claiming, "One should object to the departure of Israeli citizens to Lebanon, excluding special humanitarian cases."
Following the High Court of Justice ruling on the matter, Minister Yihsai said he would grant humanitarian-based requests and added, "however, this case is not of humanitarian nature. Lebanon can send him the prize via post." (Roni Sofer)
