2010 sees sharp rise in Israelis' overseas travels

A 27% increase in the departure of Israelis abroad has been recorded in the beginning of 2010, compared with the same period in 2009 according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Some 769,000 visits of Israelis overseas have been noted in January-March. It is likely that the low number of Israeli tarvels in early 2009 was influenced by Operation Cast Lead and the world economic crisis. (Ynet)
