Med water conference fails due to Israel-Arab dispute

The fourth conference of the Mediterranean Union on the theme of water ended in failure Tuesday because of a dispute between Arab states and Israeli concerning a reference to the West Bank.
The conference was supposed to formulate a "water strategy" for the region to ensure access to this vital resource and prevent it from becoming a cause of conflict in the future. (AFP)
