MK Cabel: Citizens in areas under travel warning should not get State's aid
None
MK Eitan Cabel (Labor) wrote to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said there is an urgent need to decide that citizens who travel to an area on which there is a severe travel warning, will do so under their own responsibility and will not receive assistance from the State in the event that they get into trouble."
"Unfortunately, some of Israel's citizens decide to act according to the all-too-familiar 'it won't happen to me' method," Cabel wrote. He added they do so because "they know the Israeli government will do anything in its power to bail them out if they are hurt." (Amnon Meranda)
