Uri Messer placed at house arrest; bail set at NIS 400,000

The Rishon Letzion Magistrate's Court has release Holyland affair suspect Uri Messer to house arrest for a period of 10 days, during which he is to stay outside of Jerusalem. Messer is also prohibited from leaving the country for 180 days.

 

The court ruled that Messer is not to contact any of the individuals involved in the affair for a period of 90 days. In total his bail money was set at NIS 400,000 (roughly $109,000). Court president Justice Abraham Heiman said, "There is an inherent suspicion he would flee." (Yoav Zitun)
