US ups pressure on Israel, Palestinians

The United States is turning up pressure on Israel and the Palestinians to restart stalled peace negotiations after more than a year of failed diplomatic efforts to get the two sides talking again.

In a speech later Thursday, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will call on both parties to prove they are committed to resolving the conflict. (AP)
