Florida lawyer is accused of stealing $10 million from a foundation formed on behalf of the late founder of Afghanistan's banking system to fund education in his native country after his death.
Attorneys for the Abdul Madjid Zabuli Foundation, named for one of Afghanistan's most prominent entrepreneurs, claim West Palm Beach lawyer Manley Thaler illegally liquidated the group's assets and transferred the funds to a foundation he created with the same name in the European nation of Liechtenstein, essentially dismantling the original foundation.
