'Over 7,000' Palestinians in Israel jails

(More than 7,000 Palestinians, including 270 who are under the age of 18, are currently held in Israeli prisons, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.
Three of the prisoners have been in jail for more than 30 years, and 315 for more than 15 years, PCBS said in a statement released to coincide with Prisoners Day, which Palestinians mark on Saturday. Of those currently held, 264 are under administrative detention, which means they are held without trial. (AFP)
