Pakistan: Blast kills 21 in Peshawar city

A police official says the death toll in a bombing close to a police station in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar has risen to 21. Police official Zahid Khan says the explosion occurred Monday evening in a crowded market area.
A bomb exploded earlier Monday outside a school run by a police welfare foundation in Peshawar, killing a young boy and wounding 10 other people. Taliban and al-Qaida militants fighting Pakistani security forces will be suspected in the attacks. (AP)
