Peres to outstanding troops: You are the people's wonderful image

President Shimon Peres congratulated the people of Israel on the Jewish state's 62nd Independence Day.
Speaking at a ceremony for outstanding IDF soldiers at his Jerusalem residence, Peres referred to the troops as "the wonderful image of the people of Israel", wished a speedy recovery to all injured soldiers and prayed for the safe return of all missing and kidnapped servicemen. (Ronen Medzini)
