Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal responded to a claim made by father of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, Noam, to take the German mediator's offer and said, "Leaders of the Zionist entity will be responsible for any future capture of their soldiers."
During a speech in Damascus Mahsaal said, "I say to Noam Shalit and the fathers of new prisoners, Inshallah: Complain only to your leaders, for they are the ones who foiled the last exchange deal." (Roee Nahmias)
