A Royal Navy warship has sailed to Spain to rescue nearly 800 British soldiers and civilians stranded by the volcanic ash cloud and take them back home to England.
The travel-weary passengers are boarding the HMS Albion, a 570-foot (173-meter-long) amphibious assault ship Tuesday at Santander, a port in northern Spain. The voyage back to Portsmouth, England, will take 40 hours. (AP)
