Ramallah street named after one of Fatah's founders

None

The Palestinian Authority has named a central street in Ramallah after Khalil al-Wazir ("Abu Jihad") an ex-Fatah commander who was one of the movement's founders. The ceremony was attended by a representative of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Last month the PA canceled a ceremony for the inauguration of a plaza named after Dalal al-Mughrabi who carried out an attack in Israel in the late 1970s. (Ali Waked)
