State denies holding contacts with Zaken on Holyland affair

None

The State Prosecutor's Office denied holding negotiations with Ehud Olmert's ex-bureau chief Shula Zaken on Wednesday. A statement issued by the office noted that Zaken had failed to show up for interrogation having been summoned more than a week ago.

It was recently reported that Zaken's attorney Micha Pitman was holding negotiations with the State and the police regarding his client's alleged involvement in the Holyland affair. The report suggested there was a possibility Zaken would testify against former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and may turn state's evidence. (Aviad Glickman)
