The Foreign Ministry has updated its travel advisory on Thailand Thursday, following the recent unrest inBangkok.
The ministry advises Israelis planning to travel to Thailand to reconsider visiting Bangkok and its surroundings. It is also recommended to avoid crowded areas, protest sites, government ministries and security forces centers.
Three people were killed and dozens were wounded on Thursday following four explosions in the Thai capital near an encampment of anti-government protesters.
According to the advisory, Israelis staying in Thailand are instructed to avoid the following counties, where a state of emergency has been declared: Bangkok, Juntaburi, Samut Prakan, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani and Ayutia.
A previous warning had been issued by the ministry earlier on April after the Thai government declared a state of emergency in Bangkok.
Bangkok residents are becoming outraged lately over the encampment of Red Shirts protestors demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Abihist Vejjajiva and the reinstatement of Thaksin Shinawatra.
The oppositionists have been disrupting life in the capital for over a month.
