Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the start of the Likud faction meeting on Monday, "We are facing very great challenges. We hope we are on the verge of opening peace talks with the Palestinians. We also want this. We hope we will also be up for it.
"The Likud faction must deal, along with the other parts of the coalition, with the challenge of the continued growth of the Israeli society, connecting the periphery to central Israel, another biennial budget, and a reform in the planning and construction laws. We need to stand up to these great challenges and maintain unity in order to focus on them," he said. (Roni Sofer)
