Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the opening of a Likud faction meeting in the Knesset, "There is no truth to insinuations that Israel is allegedly planning a move against Syria."
Netanyahu's comments came in response to recent Syrian concerns over an Israeli strike. "I estimate that this is an attempt made by Iran and Hezbollah to distract the international community from the sanctions planned against Iran," added Netanyahu. (Roni Sofer)
