Army source confirms: Hamas senior figure killed by IDF fire

Hamas senior figure Ali Suweiti, who was killed Monday morning in his house in the village of Beit Awa near Hebron – was killed from IDF fire and not from the walls of his house collapsing, as earlier suspected.
A military source said that the force attempted to detain the man in several ways, but after he opened fire and hurled grenades toward them, the force was given an order to open fire at the house. Suweiti was responsible for the murder of Border Guard officer Yaniv Mashiah in 2004. (Hanan Greenberg)
