Danny Katz killers denied early release

The Nazareth District Court on Tuesday rejected a request for early release filed by the three men convicted of murdering the teen Danny Katz 23 years ago, after the president reduced their sentences to 30 years.
The three, who were convicted of murder, conspiracy to commit a crime and kidnapping for the sake of murder, appealed to the parole board, which rejected their request. The panel of judges ruled that the three "committed one of the most heinous crimes in Israel. Their early release would impact the entire public and damage the trust in the law enforcement system."
