EU foreign policy chief: Avoid all provocations in Middle East
European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton addressed growing tension in the Middle East over the possibility that Hezbollah possesses scud missiles, saying that the European Union is concerned by recent statements made by various parties.
According to her, the statements are in opposition to EU efforts to promote a Middle East peace process. She said the EU calls on all sides of the conflict to avoid "all provocations" and to move towards a permanent peace. (AFP)
