France's Sarkozy says time for Iran sanctions nearing

French President Nicolas Sarkozy told his Chinese counterpart that the time for sanctions on Iran is nearing, citing an absence of constructive dialogue on Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

"China hopes to give dialogue every opportunity, France understands this," Sarkozy said at a joint press briefing with Chinese president Hu Jintao in the Chinese capital. (Reuters)
