Ahmadinejad requests US visa for NPT meeting

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has applied for a US visa to attend the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference next week, US envoy to the United Nations Susan Rice said on Wednesday.

"My understanding is that as of today he has filed an application for a visa," Rice told reporters after a meeting of the Security Council on unrelated issues. (AP)
