US: We won't block Ahmadinejad from attending NPT conference

The White House announced Wednesday that it will not prevent Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from attending the Nuclear Non-Proliferation conference that will be held in the UN Headquarters in New York.
Earlier, US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice confirmed that Ahmadinejad had issued a formal request for a visa to the US in order to participate in the summit. (News agencies)
