2 NY men charged with aiding al-Qaeda - prosecutors

Two New York men have been charged with providing material support to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, prosecutors said on Friday.

Wesam El-Hanafi and Sabirhan Hasanoff were accused of agreeing "to provide al-Qaeda with, among other things, computer advice and assistance, services, and currency, knowing that al Qaeda had engaged and was engaging in terrorist activity," the federal indictment said. (Reuters)
