PM: I will advocate reinstating Wisconsin Plan with amendments

None

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting that he intends to advocate the renewal of the welfare-to-work program, known as the Wisconsin Plan, in a revised edition.

According to him, "Ending the plan is a blow to the labor market. It managed to put 18,000 people in Israel to work. I spoke with the finance minister and the industry, trade, and labor minister, and asked the latter to renew a revised version of the Wisconsin Plan in no more than two months." (Roni Sofer)
