A former Iranian minister affiliated with the country's opposition has been stabbed at the Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, where he teaches, a reformist website reported.

 

A university spokesman confirmed that Ahmed Moatamedi, who served as communications minister in the Khatami government, was stabbed and injured in the chest. The motive is unclear. (Dudi Cohen)
