Ben-Eliezer: Egyptians making efforts to help ignite peace talks

Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, who accompanied Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his visit to Egypt, said Monday that there is no question as to Egypt's essential role in the peace process. He noted, "The Egyptians are committed to the political process with the Palestinians and are going to great lengths in order to help reignite it."
Ben-Eliezer sat in on the beginning of the Netanyahu-Mubarak meeting and later met with Egyptian ministers Omar Suleiman and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, with whom he discussed the issue of captive soldier Gilad Shalit. (Roni Sofer)
