Faisal Shahzad, the man behind the failed car bomb attempt in New York who was arrested after being taken off a flight to Dubai, was on his way to Islamabad, Pakistan, via Dubai, sources in the UAE said.
Shahzad is a US citizen of Pakistani origin, who confessed to having been trained in bomb preparation in Pakistan. (AFP)
