200 workers protest cancellation of Wisconsin program

Some 200 workers employed through the so-called Wisconsin program demonstrated before the Knesset compound in Jerusalem to protest the cancellation of the program. The protest comes as the Knesset Labor Committee deliberates how to integrate income security recipients in the workforce following the cancellation.
"The (Wisconsin program) is for the good of the State," the spokesperson of the company operating the program in Nazareth and Nazareth Ilit said to Ynet. "We have proved successful, the state has invested millions, and it's worth taking advantage of the experience we've gained." (Yair Hasson)
