Settlers wish destruction on Barak's home

In response to demolition of six structures in Shavei Shomron, settlers stack stones outside defense minister's home with sign that reads: 'Barak, minister of destruction, may your home be destroyed soon as well'. Stones also placed outside Netanyahu, Minister Ya'alon's homes

Creative response: Settlers from Shavei Shomron scattered building bricks near the homes of the prime minister, defense minister, and Minister Moshe Ya'alon, a day after security forces demolished six structures in the Nablus-area settlement.

The blocks were brought from the ruins of the illegal structures that the Civil Administration demolished in the settlement. Outside the defense minister's house in the Akirov Towers in Tel Aviv, a pile of stones was placed with a sign that read: "Barak, minister of destruction, may your home be destroyed soon as well."

The Samaria Settlers Committee, which initiated the protest and the artistic displays outside the ministers' homes, said, "The Likud ministers cannot pretend that they are not responsible for the acts of destruction and wreckage of the Jewish settlement."

The statement further said, "The hands are Barak's, but the body is the body of Netanyahu and his party members."

Sources from the settlement told Ynet that the only reason for the demolition of the houses in Shavei Shomron was a direct order from the defense minister to security elements in Israel.

They said the houses were built legally and that the purpose of the demolition was to appease US President Barack Obama and present to him images of the razed homes.

Head of the settlers committee, Benny Katzover, said they were forced to wish for the destruction of Barak's home, since the defense minister is investing all his efforts in the destruction of settlements instead of in their construction. "We also put the blame on those who stand by and do nothing to prevent the destruction."
