Irish airports to re-open from early Thursday

Ireland will re-open its airports from 0300 GMT after the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) imposed restrictions on all flights in and out of the country due to risk of abrasive volcanic ash from Iceland damaging aircraft.
"All Irish airports are currently restricted due to the presence of dense volcanic ash over Ireland. The current ash cloud is moving south westwards and airport restrictions will be lifted according to its progress," the IAA said in a statement. (Reuters)
