Ministerial committee rejects bill to forbid photographing bereaved families
The Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs rejected the bill proposed by Knesset Member Shai Hermesh (Kadima) prohibiting photographing bereaved families within 48 hours of the loss of their loved ones.
The cabinet passed the issue on to the Press Council, which will instate regulations on the matter within three weeks. Hermesh said in response, "This is a smoke screen. The battle has moved to the Knesset." (Attila Somfalvi)
