Two more Labor MPs call for UK's Brown to quit

Two more Labor members of parliament (MPs) urged British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Sunday to step aside after an inconclusive election deprived the party of its majority in parliament.

The centre-right Conservatives, now the largest party in parliament, were holding talks with the smaller opposition Liberal Democrats on Sunday to try to form a government. Brown remains as prime minister pending the formation of a new government. He has said that Labor will open talks with the Lib Dems if they fail to seal a deal with the Conservatives. (Reuters)
