Abbas wants US response on J'lem construction plans

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas urged the American administration to respond to Israel's plans to expand construction in settlements and in Jerusalem, following reports of the construction of 14 housing units for Jews in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras al-Amud.
Abbas added, "The Americans must give us answers and clarifications on this matter." (Ali Waked)
