Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed Israel's inclusion in the OECD organization and said, "This is a big day for the State of Israel."
At the start of a Likud faction meeting on Monday, Netanyahu said, "Many had a hand in this achievement. It was the work of over 15 years. Minister Steinitz, Governor Fischer, Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, former Prime Minister Olmert and former Minister Ronnie Bar-On are all party to this achievement. We will become one of the 15 leading developed countries in the world. This is our goal, and we will reach it." (Attila Somfalvi)
