US links S. Korean explosion to N. Korean nuke talks

A senior US diplomat is warning that the future of North Korean nuclear disarmament talks is linked to an investigation into a South Korean naval ship that exploded and sank near the border with the North.
Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg also said Monday that he hoped China delivered a direct message during a recent visit to Beijing by North Korean leader Kim Jong Il that the world was worried about the North's actions. (AP)
