Obama revives civilian nuclear deal with Russia

None

US President Barack Obama revived on Monday an agreement with Russia in which the two countries would cooperate on civilian nuclear energy, almost two years after it was shelved over Russia's 2008 war with Georgia.

"The level and scope of US-Russia cooperation on Iran are sufficient to justify resubmitting the proposed agreement to the Congress," Obama said in a letter to Congress. (Reuters)
