Arkia passengers to leave Moscow after spending night in airport

None

The Russian Aviation Authorities did not let an Arkia plane take off from Saint Petersburg to Moscow on Monday night, causing the 257 passengers of the flight from Moscow to Tel Aviv to spend the night at the airport.

Arkia Airlines said the plane was delayed after the Russians claimed that its crew had no visas, although Israel and Russia have signed an agreement cancelling the need for visas. The plane was eventually allowed to leave to Moscow following the Foreign Ministry's intervention. (Yoav Zitun)
