Russia: Peres awarded honorary doctorate

President Shimon Peres received an honorary doctorate from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), one of Russia's most prominent academic institutions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Peres warned of the Iranian threat, and of the leaking of atomic weapons to terrorists. In addition, the president reviewed the shared history of the Jewish and Russian peoples, and spoke of his father during the Second World War. (Ahiya Raved, Moscow)
