Lieberman warns Japan of Syria-North Korea ties
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman met with Japanese PM Yukio Hatoyama in Tokyo on Tuesday, and expressed his satisfaction with the developments in ties between the two countries. He thanked Hatoyama for Japan's support of Israel to join the OECD, and for its help in promoting the diplomatic process.
Lieberman told Hatoyama that cooperation between Syria and North Korea does not center on economic development, but focuses on WMDs and arms smuggling. Lieberman mentioned the affair of the North Korean airplane that was seized in Bangkok several months ago found to be carrying weapons destined for Hezbollah and Hamas. (Ynet)
