The State Comptroller Report published Tuesday revealed harsh findings according to which Agriculture Minister Shalom Simhon gave himself and his family members perks.
According to the report, during 2006 the minister initiated a reform in the egg and poultry industry, funded by the state budget, which was meant to encourage the industry by transferring chicken coops from community centers to locations determined by the Agriculture Ministry. The reform gave preference to communities in the north, including the minister's place of residence. (Yaron Druckman)
