The Netherlands' Foreign Ministry says it now believes 70 Dutch people were among the 103 killed in a plane crash this week in Libya.
In the absence of a passenger list from Afriqiyah Airways, the ministry previously put the Dutch death toll at 61, using information from two travel agencies that had booked large sections of the ill-fated plane. But the ministry said Thursday that nine other Dutch citizens were found to have independently purchased tickets on the flight from Johannesburg that crashed minutes before it was due to land in Tripoli on Wednesday.
