Red Shirt leader reportedly shot in Thai capital

An aide says the military strategist of Thailand's anti-government Red Shirt protesters has been shot in the head.
The aide who answered Khattiya Sawasdiphol's mobile phone described the injury as "severe." The Associated Press called Khattiya's phone after several gunshots and explosions were heard in central Bangkok late Thursday. Several Thai media outlets also reported that Khattiya was shot and taken to a hospital. (AP)
