Rivlin: Palestinians think US pressure rids them of real negotiations

Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin met with EU Ambassador to Israel Andrew Stanley and told him, "The Palestinians think the pressure exerted on Israel by the US improves their position and exempts them of holding real negotiations, but this is a mistake."
Rivlin further added, "As part of proximity talks the Palestinians will be obligated to address the most significant, burning issues, such as the right of return, Jerusalem and Israel's characterization as a Jewish and democratic state." (Amnon Meranda)
