Russia: Hamas has most Palestinians' support

Russia has stressed that it still subscribes to the opinion that Hamas should be involved in political negotiations with Israel and not excluded from talks, a stance which prompted criticism by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said Thursday that Hamas was an organization founded on the trust and sympathy of most Palestinians. (AFP)
