Medvedev: Brazil president's Iran visit may be 'last chance'

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Friday that Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's visit to Iran scheduled for Sunday was perhaps the last chance before the adoption of sanctions against Tehran in response to its controversial nuclear program.
"I hope that the Brazilian president will succeed," Medvedev said in the Kremlin. "This may be the last chance before sanctions are adopted in the UN Security Council." (AFP)
