IDF force fires at Palestinian near border fence

An Israel Defense Forces lookout spotted a Palestinian approaching the border fence south of the Karni crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.

A force dispatched to the area opened fire and searched the area. The Palestinian was hit. There were no injuries among the soldiers. The Palestinians reported that an al-Qaeda-affiliated cell was operating in the area. (Hanan Greenberg and Ali Waked)
